What to Expect from Moscow Glass

Moscow Glass Staff in Moscow Idaho

At Moscow Glass, we believe clear communication is just as important as clear glass. Whether you’re replacing a single window or outfitting a new building, our team is here to make the process simple and straightforward.

This page walks you through exactly what to expect when working with us, from your first phone call to the final cleanup, so you can feel confident every step of the way.

Thank you for considering Moscow Glass for your residential and commercial glass needs, and we’ll be looking forward to hearing from you!

Step 1: We learn about your project.

You can get started by giving us a call at (208) 883-1850, sending us an email, or visiting our store at 1018 South Jefferson Street in Moscow.

Our friendly and professional staff will answer your questions, walk you through your options, and will give you a ballpark estimate for your project.

We can give most ballpark estimates over the phone within 15 minutes.

Step 2: We visit your home to prepare a proposal.

We’ll visit you at your home to take measurements, help you decide on what materials will be best for your home, and answer any questions you have about your project. For smaller scale projects, we’re often able to prepare a final fixed price proposal for you at the same meeting.

After our meeting, we’ll send you a final proposal detailing the scope of work and material selections for your project. You’ll know exactly what we’ll be doing on your home and how much it will cost.

If we aren’t able to give final numbers at our visit, proposals are sent by email within 2 business days of our visit, and give you the option to e-sign and pay deposits by credit card or bank transfer.

Step 3: We collect a deposit and order materials.

After you approve your estimate, we collect a 50% deposit, order materials for your project, and reserve time on our schedule for your work.

We’ll talk about your availability and some potential install dates for your project. When we’re close to the date, our team will reach out with 1+ week notice to schedule a specific date and time to expect us.

Step 4: Our professional team completes the installation.

Our friendly and professional team will arrive at your home ready to get to work.

We’ll put down dropcloths and site protection as needed to keep the inside of your home clean during the installation.

To help the installation go smoothly, we ask a few things of you:

  • Please take down any curtains and window dressings before our visit.
  • We will require either permission to enter your home while you’re out, or for you to be present to give us access during the install. If you need to reschedule, we ask for 24 hours of advance notice.
  • Please move items like dressers or beds at least 4 feet away from windows.
  • Please park in the street and leave the driveway accessible for our work trucks.
  • Pets should be kept in a separate space away from the install areas.

Step 5: We double check all of our work.

After your new doors and windows are installed, our team double checks all of their work and cleans up the jobsite. We’ll answer any of your questions about care and maintenance, and make sure you’re happy with how everything looks.

Note that our team is not responsible for painting trim, staining, or hanging window coverings. Any caulking used in the install will not be fully cured for 24 hours. Please allow adequate time to cure on for shower glass, windows, doors, etc. before touching or painting it.

Step 6: We close out your project.

After everything is wrapped up and you’re happy with your new windows or doors, our team will be in touch with a final invoice.

We’ll ask what it was like working with us, and see if there’s anything we can do to improve. If you loved working with us, we always appreciate kind Google reviews and referrals to your friends.
